Ingredients and preparation steps
Ingredients for the base
- 300 g of broccoli florets
- 4 eggs
- 60g of grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon of sea salt
Toppings
- tomato sauce with vegetables
- 150 g of grated mozzarella
- a couple of small tomatoes cut into quarters
- 1 onion cut into thin rings
- 1 corn
- 1 egg
- 4 thin slices of bacon
Heat the oven to 200°C.
Boil the broccoli florets in a bowl of water. When the water boils, boil them for 5 minutes.
Drain and chop in a blender then place the chopped broccoli in a piece of cloth or cheesecloth to squeeze out excess water. Then put the drained broccoli in a bowl and add the rest of the ingredients for the base. Mix until well combined.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the broccoli mixture in the center of the paper. Form a 28 cm round base with a wet palm or make two smaller bases. Place in the oven and bake for 10 minutes or until the base takes on a light golden-yellow color.
Then take the base out of the oven and spread the tomato sauce over it and add the mozzarella.
Bake for 5 minutes.
Remove from the oven and add the rest of the toppings.
Bake again for another 5 minutes.
Serve warm and garnish with fresh basil.
