Kefir cheese and salmon spread

This kefir cheese spread is easy and tasteful meal full of probiotics from homemade kefir cheese and nutrients from salmon. Especially when is served with homemade bread.

Salmon provides vitamin A and multiple B-vitamins. It is one of the few natural food sources of vitamin D, especially wild salmon. Salmon is also rich in several minerals including magnesium, potassium, phosphorus, zinc, and selenium. Additionally, canned salmon contains lots of calcium (due to the edible bones).

Ingredients and preparation steps

  • 115 g of canned wild salmon
  • 200 g of homemade kefir cream cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • a pinch of salt
  • 2 teaspoons of Aromatica Happy Lucia’s spice

In a medium sized bowl mash the cream cheese with salmon, salt, spices and lime juice and continue to mash until well incorporated.

Serve with homemade bread.

To make this dish more nutritious I added baked eggs, sliced avocado, roasted pumpkin seeds and corn.
