Cod in a creamy sauce with rice

I believe that everyone has their own way of preparing cod.

I love this recipe so much because it’s simple yet so delicious.

Ingredients and preparation steps

  • 500 g of frozen cod
  • 4 tablespoons of mustard
  • ½ onion
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 50 g of butter
  • juice from one lemon
  • 200 ml of vegetable stock or water
  • two handfuls of fresh spinach
  • 3 tablespoons of sour cream
  • rice

Defrost the cod and dry it with paper towels.
Melt the butter in a pan and add finely chopped onion and garlic. Bake them while stirring, then add mustard, lemon juice and vegetable stock. Mix everything and cook for about 5 minutes.
Then add the cod, cover with a lid and cook for 15 minutes.
Mix everything again, then add the cream, mix again and cook for another five minutes while stirring.
Add the spinach and cook until the spinach “withers”.
Serve warm with cooked rice.
