What is December without fritters? All other months!
I don’t eat fritters often but the December is the ideal time to enjoy in them.
Ingredients and preparation steps
Dry ingredients
- 200 g of gluten-free flour
- 1/4 teaspoon xanthan gum
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- a pinch of salt
- 2 tablespoons cane sugar
Wet ingredients
- 150 ml of homemade milk kefir
- 2 eggs
- tablespoon of rum
- tablespoon of vanilla extract
Additionall ingredients
- frying oil
- 2 apples
Peel an apples, grate them and set it aside.
In a deeper bowl, add the dry ingredients, mix them well, then add the wet ingredients and mix everything well again into a uniform mixture.
Squeeze out the excess liquid from the grated apples, add them to the mixture and mix everything well.
Heat the oil in a deep saucepan.
Add as much oil as needed to fill the pot about 3 cm from the bottom.
Using a spoon or ice cream scoop, take the dough and add it slowly to the hot oil.
Bake the fritters until they get a golden yellow color on both sides.
Serve with homemade jam, melted chocolate or simply sprinkle with a little ground sugar.
Enjoy!
